COVER ALL AREAS

So it was, from that time on, that half of my servants worked at construction, while the other half held the spears, the shields, the bows, and wore armor; and the leaders were behind all the house of Judah. Those who built on the wall, and those who carried burdens, loaded themselves so that with one hand they worked at construction, and with the other held a weapon. Every one of the builders had his sword girded at his side as he built. And the one who sounded the trumpet was beside me. Nehemiah 4:16-18

It is easy to be carried away or be overly involved in one aspect of life and forget the other parts. This is common when things are going well and there is no hint that anything could go wrong elsewhere. I recently learned that satan will target the least expected areas in life. The forgotten parts, the thing you are assured to be intact; that’s the place he will target. You may have heard of this phrase already;” that’s the last person I thought would do that “or I could not have imagined that it happened in that city or that office”

Destiny is all inclusive. While pursuing our goals, we must ensure to cover all areas with prayer and secure all entry points and weak areas by the help of the Holy Spirit. In Nehemiah 4, we see the plan that Nehemiah had, “we will build the wall, with one hand and the other is with a weapon. Nehemiah was very strategic in the execution of this vision, he placed people in entry areas (gates) and on the 4 corners of the wall. See Nehemiah chapter 3.

The weapons of our warfare are mighty in power. Our enemies though are not fellow human beings. Prayer, meditation on Scriptures, praise and worship and most important asking God to alert you and guide you are some of the weapons we can use. In prayer cover your family, job, children, school, neighborhood, business associates, house, your coworkers and everything connected to you. Watch out for repeated patterns as well; similar negative things that seem to surface and disappear from time to time or during some months of the year.

If you read further in Nehemiah, he encourages the people to build the wall geared for battle for the sake of their families, daughters and sons. Meaning destiny is for posterity. It involves all that pertains us.

The other added weapons are the authority we have Christ Jesus, The name of Jesus, the Blood of Jesus, the power, fire and glory of the Holy Spirit, Angels. This week, pursue your goals but cover all areas with prayer. Consider reaching out to trusted fellow believers or church family to pray for you also. Destiny is all inclusive and you have the upper hand!

p/s- There are many lessons in all chapters of Nehemiah. Consider reading all of them this week. Nehemiah is a short Book in the Bible.

WALK IT THRU’ ALONE. IT’S OK. IT’S ONLY SEASONAL

We are in an era where there is a quest for belonging and association. Most people are in clicks or longing to be part of a click. Most are seeking for spiritual fathers, spiritual mothers and mentors. There is a heighted sense for affirmation and association. Some are looking to others for promotion, advancement and popularity. The thought of pursuing destiny alone scares many. My encouragement to you this week is that you are not alone, take courage and endure solitude just a little while longer.

Whenever God had a greater plan for someone, He rarely called them the in couples or in large groups. God always called each person independently. Consider these:
•God called Abraham independently. Even when Abraham chose Lot, God’s divine inheritance was revealed to Abraham immediately following his separation from Lot.
•Noah was called independently concerning the Ark
•Joseph to be separated by his brothers to preserve Israel later independently
•Moses was called independently and though assigned Aaron, God always spoke to Moses alone
•David was chosen by God in the wideness and He related to God independently
•Consider the independent callings of Jeremiah, Isaiah, Ezekiel and Gideon
•Jesus was called independently; God sent His Own Son. Consider Daniel’s life or Deborah’s call to war.
•The Apostle Paul was called independently

If you notice from that list, whomever God called, He also instructed directly. Rarely did these people rely on mentors, spiritual fathers or mothers. They did not have publicists. God was their publicists, through signs, wonders and victories! They were called, taught and directed by God and the Holy Spirit. That said they also knew the voice and ways of God. They obtained revelation and wisdom from God independently.

When God calls, at the foundational levels of destiny matters, from personal experience, it is very common that God will want you to be alone with Him. 99.99% of spiritual training and connections is done by God through the Holy Spirit. 0.00001% is done through divine persons. Endure the time alone, because it’s seasonal. When the appointed time comes, God will connect you to the right mentors and people towards accomplishing your destiny. Jesus retrieved to be alone, then later chose his disciples. Paul was called alone, he retrieved to for over 14 years, then returned to be embraced by the apostles and to be partnered with Barnabas, Timothy, Titus, Mark, Apollos and others to spread this Gospel that we Gentiles now enjoy.

While in solitude with God, He is preparing you for a greater impact! Look at Abraham, David, Jesus and Paul. While in solitude, remember this; surely Jesus is with you always, even to the very end of the age. Matthew 28:20

ONLY FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT

Have you ever been involved in a discussion or conflict and the midst of it ask; how in the world did I ever get here; where did this come from? The answer to these questions is distractions! They come in various forms and ways, but it’s imperative that we stay strategically focused to our visions and goals. So, in 2017, only fight the good fight!

The Apostle Paul in his final instructions to Timothy, a young Pastor encourages him to Fight the Good fight of Faith-1 Timothy 6:12- Fight the good fight o the true faith. Hold tightly to the eternal life to which God has called you, which you have confessed so well before many witnesses.

I encourage you this week and in 2017 to only focus on what advances the Kingdom of God in you and the purposes of God in your life. Fight Kingdom style:
•Fight with the weapons of righteousness on both hands -2Corinthians 6:7
•Fight with your mind set on things that are above not below. Colossians 3:2
•Fight by bringing your mind to subject to God and every contract thought to submit to God’s authority-2 Corinthians 10:5
•Fight my guarding your heart-Proverbs 4:23
•Fight by studying the Word of God-2Timothy 2:15
•Fight with the weapons of warfare which are we know are mighty to bring down stronghold. The weapons are, salvation, righteous, faith, truth, peace, the Word of God, prayer. 2Corinthians 10:4
•Fight by not getting into unnecessary arguments-1Timothy 2:23
•Fight by not being unequally yoked-2 Corinthians 6:14
•Fight by bearing the fruits of the Spirit-Galatians 5:22-23
•Fight through worship, prayer, thanksgiving, by the blood of the Lamb and in the Name of Jesus-Revelation 12:11
•Fight by staying alert and vigilant-1 Peter 5:8
•Fight by staying bold and Courageous Joshua 1:9
•Fight by submitting to the Holy Spirit -Galatians 5:16, James 4:7-10

Fight by relinquishing the fight to the Holy Spirit knowing that it not by our strength, gifts or skills, but by the Holy Spirit. Fight knowing Greater is He that is you and he that is in the world.

Let us Enact and Activate the Kingdom of God in our lives, for our marriages, for our children, for our families for our jobs and businesses. This week only purpose to engage in what advances God’s Kingdom in your live and in the lives others. Only fight the good fight.

GOD CAN HELP YOU WITH YOUR GOALS THIS YEAR

Commit your ways to the Lord and He shall establish them. Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and everything shall be added unto you. Whenever we have plans, missions, goals or objectives, God is very good at guiding us to correct, feasible and attainable goals.

The “committing and seeking” starts at the planning stage not after the goals have been set and ready to go. Right when your mind says “I need to write down my goals or resolutions”, that’s the perfect time to invite the Holy Spirit and ask Him to show you what you need to focus on. In fact, if you are in constant fellowship with the Holy Spirit, He will give you the goals way ahead of time.

The Holy Spirit is very practical and strategic as well. He will not only help you with the goals but also show you how to go about attaining them and lead you to the correct alliances to support your goals and plans. The key is to stay intimate with the Holy Spirit in prayer and obedience to His instructions. The other important thing you should do is to stay open to whatever means God may use to meet your goals. You may think the resolution will come through route A yet God responds through route W.

When we commit your ways to the Lord in the “thought or planning stage, it also curbs recidivisms of starting and not finishing and restarting and not finishing. God’s plans are sure and It is God who also brings them to a complete end. Philippians 1:6.
This week in prayer ask the Holy Spirit to help you set your goals. Then ask Him how to go about meeting the goals. Do not stop there, ask God for the resources needed including the alliances necessary to accomplish the goals. Always ask God for more. This is why; God is able to make all grace abound toward you, always having sufficiency in all things and that you may have abundance for every good work, 2Corinthians 9:8

Write and DO what the Holy Spirit tells you. Psalm: 32:8-9 (please read these scriptures). God can help with your goals this year, only commit your ways to Him.
