LET US FOCUS ON GOD’S GOODNESS

Romans 8:28- And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good for those who are called according to His purpose.

This Scripture is often referenced in times of hardship. To many including myself, this Scripture has brought comfort and strength to persevere especially in adversities that I did not understand. However, I realized this morning that this same Scripture is applicable when good things happen. These good things are God’s goodness that we experience daily even amidst adversities. Consider these:
•The Mercies of God are His goodness towards us, through them we are not destroyed
•God’s Loving Kindnesses are His goodness for us, by His love we know that nothing can separate us from God. His love is relentless, seeking us even when are stubborn and rebellious.
•Grace presents as the goodness of God when we know that human efforts or works cannot guarantee or sustain us. That it is by His Grace that we are
•God’s protection is His goodness towards us, knowing that we are covered under His wings
•His goodness presents in the redemptive power of the Blood of Jesus that brought us salvation, healing, deliverance, restoration and restitution.

If we reflect on where and what God has brought us from or through, we can testify of His goodness through the healings we have had, through the breakthroughs and answered prayers, through the just in time solutions that God brought forth at the eleventh hour! OR, when He redirects our lives to a much greater purpose; even that, is till God’s goodness.

This week focus on God’s goodness nonetheless. Focus on His ability, His power, His provision, His assuring promises, His Word that is guaranteed to perform! All things are working for your good. Declare God’s goodness back to Him. Shout it out loud; “God you are good, and your mercies endure forever. Say it, “Your loving kindness are from everlasting to everlasting”. Let us focus on the goodness of God!

GOD IS ALIGNING FRAGMENTED PIECES

While in prayer a few weeks ago, I heard the Lord say, “RIVERS and ALIGN”. I blogged about the Rivers last week, so this week I will share about the alignment that God is doing in this season. I am glad I waited to post on this, because the Lord kept elaborating on the alignment. This past Saturday He said, “I am aligning fragmented pieces”

We are truly in another great season with God. It is not only a time of refreshing and restoration but also a time of alignment. Alignment means (a) the act of aligning or state of being aligned; especially: the proper positioning or state of adjustment of parts in relation to each other (b) an arrangement of groups or forces in relation to one another.

To anyone who has sort God, who has been praying & fasting, who has faced challenge after challenge, adversity after adversity. For the one who keeps asking God “when Lord when” or Lord what about me? Take courage God is aligning things, plans, process, people and resources to fall into place. To quote word for word this is what the Lord shared-below;

The Lord is bringing everything into alignment; everything from the past every generational blessing from the past that needs to align with His timing. The Lord shared that in this season, everything about this alignment is like an alignment of a car wheel that needs to be aligned for the vehicle to move straight. God is doing is that. He is lining everything that needs to be aligned in your life and family by the Blood of the Lamb. This is a ’generational alignment”. So even if your past or ancestry is messed up, God is still bringing you into His alignment because the Blood of Jesus broke every curse; the negative generation stuff has no influence on you.  Isaiah 53:3, Galatians 3:13

The reason God used a vehicle as an example is so that you can accelerate once an alignment has been done. This alignment means being in the right time, with the right people, the right connections, the right environment to thrive. This alignment is not just an alignment. It is (1) a generational alignment (2) it will produce that which God has planned. God will also release “Rivers of the Holy Spirit” and that the Rivers will expedite the growth of what needs to be produced and fruits are generational to bless and impact future generations.   With this alignment, even that which was lost will be restored.

This week, read Job 37 the entire chapter. Only believe, NOTHING is impossible with God. God is aligning and accelerating all that concerns you so that you can bear generational fruits(blessings)

BEHIND THE SCENES GOD IS NOT SILENT

“Journeys with God”; that should have been the befitting title for this blog, LOL. But seriously, there are times in our walk with God when we feel that God is silent. You may be there right now. God is not mad at you. You have done “nothing wrong”. Take courage God has already responded to your need behind the scenes.

Isaiah 46:10-I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.’

Why should I be convinced of this? Because as the Alpha and Omega God, He normally sees the end from the beginning. In fact, He says, before you were born, He knew you and had plans lined out for you including the plan for what you think He is in silent about!

TIMING- Since He knows the end from the time you asked Him, God may be waiting for the right timing to release the answer to you. The Bible has multiple accounts that say “at the appointed time” or “when the time came”. At the appointed time, He will release the answer

FAITH-I believe we are or have been in a prolonged season of FAITH DEVELOPMENT. In fact, I would call it STRETCHED faith development. Where God wants us to TRUST HIM FOR AND IN EVERYTHING. This involves staying in sustained faith, constantly believing the promises related to the answer you are waiting for. I may also call it CONTENTIOUS FAITH, where you are not backing down no matter the contrary around you. In contentious faith, you know and are firm that God will deliver. With that your mind, soul emotions and spirit must align to that promise.

PROMOTION- God may delay the answer to mature you for the next level of promotion. This comes with internal searching of motives and intents of that prayer request. It also comes with character development; being sharpened by the Lord.

This week, wipe your tears. Let go your frustrations. God sees your tears, He sees the sincerity of your heart. God is not mad at you. Endure the process. Stand on these two promises; (1) The One Who can turn 1000 years in one day has heard your prayers. 2 Peter 3:8 (2) The God sees the end from the beginning has already released your answer behind the scenes.

EMPOWERED TO DO MORE

Lately there seems to be a lot to do. It seems that things are moving rapidly and with urgency. In any area of our callings, God continues to download more that requires our immediate obedience and action. It feels as though we are in a crash course of some sort this season and it behooves us to act on what is being released by God. In the midst of this, we still have to do life! Despite all, God has provided us the Helper, the Holy Spirit who empowers us to do more. So take courage, go on, the Holy Spirit is empowering us to accomplish all. This is why, we are
(a)Empowered through rejuvenation -The Holy Spirit is the breathe of life. Even in our weariness, His breath brings to life that which is feeble and weary. He resurrects dormant gifts and activates us to do more. Romans 8:11, John 5:21. In Him we are rejuvenated-in Him we live and move and have our being

(b)Empowered by new strength-As the Spirit of Power in whom we are filled in, Holy Spirit power births new strength. Matthew 3:11. Have you ever been tired, then prayed in Spirit and all over a sudden a new surge of energy rushed in? There are days I am physically tired. On such days my prayers have been, Holy Spirit help finish house chores today.

(c)Empowered through detoxification –This is the Spirit of Fire. Among His functions are burn off all toxins from us, purge and purify. This process can be painful, but hey, a good Father disciplines His children (Hebrews 12:6). It is from here too that we move from glory to glory; this in itself is another form of empowerment!

(d)Empowered through ongoing surrender and submission- I am not sure about you but it seems we are in a season of dying to self. A sister from church shared the same sediment a week ago stating, “It seems we are in season of pruning but at a different level”. Some of you may attest to this; we have been in a season of submitting and dying to our intellect! Our mind and reasoning have to align to the Spirit and with God. Faith, trust and obedience becomes our logic. Our spirits must align to the Spirit of God. Our minds must be transformed to the mind of Christ, set in heaven to detect our daily operations on earth. We are in a season of mind transformation that requires us to mentally, spiritually and emotionally align with heaven. And the bloggers said Amen!

(e)Empowered with Boldness-Acts 29-31-Is there an area you are timid to launch into? The Holy Spirit can empower you with courage and boldness to go forth!

(f)The Holy Spirit Empowers through REST. In fact, He does more in, with and for us when we rest in Him. Watch out for His hints to rest!

This week seek the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. He will rejuvenate you, strengthen you, purge off the dirt and help you align with heaven. Go forth in courage. Move on with BOLDNESS! Do not forget to REST!

SELF-SARBOTAGE

This happens to be the most self-destructive habit that impacts our destinies and God ordained purposes. Self-Sabotage is a debatable issue but I’m convinced we cannot blame satan for this one.

Self –sabotage occurs when we fail to commit to what we purposed to do for ourselves. Often it manifests in avoiding taking risks, being extremely calculated, procrastination, doubt, fear of success, refusing or not seeking counsel, failure to follow through on opportunities or leads, focusing on the wrong things, avoidance to diligently indulge in the right thing for the season and a pattern of distraction or starting and not stopping and being in a constant merry-go-round

Commit to the Lord whatever you do and He will establish your plans (Proverbs 16:3). Whereas prayer is essential, there a part that we must play and that is putting into action what we have prayed for. These are faith-generated actions that should produce fruits.

Sharing from experience, I have experienced the strength of the Holy Spirit in helping me accomplish personal goals, including not so complex ones like completing household chores. Often I pray, Holy Spirit help me accomplish the tasks for this day. Normally they are accomplished or the Holy Spirit will provide strategies to accomplish a lot in a short time.

This week, take time for self –evaluation. Review your goals for the year or review your vision. Do this for all areas, family, school, children, work etc. See if you have sabotaged any areas by your actions. Take full responsibility, then repent. After which ask the Holy Spirit for strength, wisdom and direction to accomplish them. Commit to the Lord whatever you do and He will establish your plans. Let us also pray that God open our eyes to see and seize opportunities. It is not by our strength, but the Holy Spirit. Let us tap onto the Holy Spirit to combat self-sabotage. We must live the fullness of our destinies here on earth in Jesus Name Amen!

SPEAK TO YOUR MIND; SPEAK TO YOUR EMOTIONS

Last Thursday I woke up in a funk, whining about everything possible, I mean just going on and on and on. Then I realized something; that the more I whined and complained the more my body and emotions begun to conform to what I was saying. I mean I could sense what my bad attitude was doing to body.

The suddenly I remembered that I am setting the tone for this entire day. Then I recalled a teaching I had just heard from Pastor Chris Oyakhilome; that “you are responsible for where you are”. Disclaimer: – I am quoting Ps Chris in the context of this blog only. So anyways, right away, I switched to a prayer of thanksgiving. I started thanking the Lord for everything. Then I reflected on Ps Chris’s message again and turned the prayer to commanding my spirit to align with the Word of God. I told my body straighten up, I told my mind strengthen yourself, I spoke to my mind and body and said receive strength, received power. I told my emotions lighten up. Then I heard the Holy Spirit say “rejoice in the Lord always”. OOH, then I proceeded to tell my body, mind and heart to rejoice in the Lord. As I prayed by body, emotions started to get lively, my attitude changed; a metamorphosis was taking place. It’s like a switch went off, turned 180 degrees. Then I sighed, you mean this was all a matter of my mind?

As I ended the prayer I heard the Holy Spirit singing in me, “Bless the Lord, Oh my soul and all that is within me, bless His Holy Name”. So I joined the Holy Spirit and we sang this line together over and over all day into Friday. As I got to work, I noticed my to-do list had major items that needed to be addressed. My mind stayed alert and sharp in meetings and in systems and processes I needed to develop. At the end of the work day on Friday evening; I testified, that “it had been a good day, God is good”

James 3: 1-6 THE POWER OF THE TONGUE-this week if your thoughts say anything contrary to what God says about you. Stop right there, speak to your thoughts, speak to your emotions. Engage the Holy Spirit, speak in tongues, experience the 180 degree turn around; in the Name of Jesus! All things are possible to them who BELIEVE! Mark 9:23

LAST CHANCE WORKOUT

The Biggest Loser remains my favorite TV show mostly because of the thrill of the transformation the contestants made. The show motivated me in fitness and I also learned some tips that I incorporated into my life. The biggest thrill was the “last chance workout”, it was the last exercise routine before the weigh in. Contestants, though exhausted, pushed themselves to optimize the needed weight loss to win the price.

As you work towards your goals or vision, it could be that by now, you have exhausted all you’ve got. There is a rush that comes with wanting to meet your goal. This exhaustion may come when you are close to the finish line; the final lap. It may require travailing, pushing through while you can’t just wait it get done; “oh if I could only wrap this up” you say.

My encouragement to you this week is to consider the prize that it ahead. Consider the payoff. The outcome is normally worth it. So, push through your studies, push through the homework, push through the business plan, push through the research paper or dissertation; push through the project deadline. If a challenge or obstacle comes while pushing, invite your Advocate and Helper the Holy Spirit to strengthen and guide you. Disperse the angels God has assigned you to assist also. Considerate as your last chance work out; the great price is right in front of you. Consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. Romans 8:18

BETWEEN THE PRAYER AND THE PROMISE

Often people will question what they should in the period between the initial prayer and answer. Frankly this most challenging position and the most frustrating and dry period; especially if you have waited for so long. My encouragement to you this week is to stay consistent over this period.

100% of these blogs are from personal experience of what God is teaching and sharing with me. Most of these lessons take place when I am just up and about doing errands or while reflecting. This lesson was one of them, I was walking from one room to the next while I received this. That the best thing to do while waiting for the breakthrough, answer of promise is to stay consistent in faith;

Stay consistent in your daily devotion in reading the Bible and prayer-A perfect example were Zachariah and Elizabeth despite not having children, they stayed consistent serving the Lord “were both righteous in the sight of God, walking blamelessly in all the commandments and requirements of the Lord.” (Luke 1:6)

Stay consistent in the assignment God has given you- King David reminds me of this commitment. That even after being anointed for the first time as king, he returned to do his initial assignment as a shepherd until the appointed time came. Continue to faithfully doing your assignment, continue to dream, expand and fine tune what God has given you, don’t hold back and don’t quit. Serve God fully in your current position.

Pursue God and Serve God in your capacity in want and in abundance- Apostle Paul reminds me of this when he says I know how to abound in lack and in abundance. Bill Johnson teaches on this too. In one of his books Bill wrote, pray and seek God just as much when things are ok, just as you would pray and seek God when things are bad; this really changed my perception of God and for ministry. To stay consistent at all time

Activate and Increase praise, worship and thanksgiving during this period- There are times that “warring in prayer stops”, petitioning stops, decreeing and declaring stops, prophesying stops, but Ohh the power of praise, worship and thanksgiving. This is the position king Jehoshaphat took 2 Chronicles 20; 22 Now when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushes against the people of Ammon. (Please read whole chapter 2Chronicles 20)

You are being matured and prepared for the promise-Biblical accounts of Joseph and David remind us of this. Would you agree that both Joseph and David served in various capacities in preparation for the higher positions? The waiting period then is likely a training and maturing period in preparation for your promise

Keep your focus on Jesus and not the issue-All battles belong to our Lord. Keeping our focus on Jesus is a form of surrender; telling the Lord we have submitted the issue to Him; trusting He will bring forth the deliverables!

Remember, there comes the fullness of time – In the fullness of time Isaac was born, in the fullness of time Jesus was born! Some delays are a result of God waiting for the appointed time, the right timing. At the appointed time, I will return to you, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son. “Genesis 18:14

In the fullness of time, at the appointed time, your answer is coming. Stay Consistent

STAY IN THE ZONE

Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth (Colossians 3:2). Right now, it is easy to maintain goals and resolutions because it’s still early in the year, but as we venture deeper into the year, a time will come that we must stay focused, committed and on the course. no matter what comes your way this year STAY IN THE ZONE. Your Zone is God’s heaven. Seeing and reacting to everything according what heaven says about it! Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. HEAVEN IS OUR ZONE!

Purpose to set your mind on God’s promises concerning the situation because that is where we belong; we are co-heirs with Christ who is seated at the right hand of the Father (Romans 8:17, Galatians 3:29). Whenever a contrary issue comes up, ask yourself, what does God say about this situation? What does Jesus teach about this situation? What are(is) the promise of God about this situation? What is the Holy Spirit instructing about this situation? What song or Psalm can I sing about this situation?

Keep your mind in the heavenly zone because it is in the mind that is the battlefield of war and where victory first starts (1Corinthians 15:57)

Stay in the heavenly zone because the heavenly zone is ETERNAL AND IMPERISHABLE, while the earthly zone is temporary and perishable
( 1Peter 1:23)

Stay in the heavenly zone because what is of the earth will be left behind and we cannot take it to heaven (I Peter 1:24, Matthew 6:19-21)

Stay in the heavenly zone because God rewards those who are faithful to Him (1 Samuel 26:23 (a), Lamentations 3:25, Psalm 18:25)

ZONE OUT IN HEAVEN this week. Stay in the zone with the Word of God, the promises of God, the Spirit of God. Let God’s heaven dictate your life on earth! Your will be done on earth as it is heaven.

THE WONDERS OF HIS LOVE

As we reflect from the beginning of the year to this last week of 2016, I am sure voluminous blogs can be written of testimonies of the wondrous works of the Lord this year!

Salvation-We can attest to the Lord’s on time salvation, not only of the soul, but of the mind and body. We can testify of God’s grace keeping us sane in our right minds, where others could not handle what we had to face, but the Lord’s grace, mercy and peace sustained our minds to think clearly.

Deliverance- Oh Jesus, we can attest to God’s deliverance from traps and snares. Where once bound, we had lost ourselves, but God delivered us from the mucky mire, literally pulling us out by force, setting us free and bringing us to our full identity where we can finally say “I found me”. Among the profound deliverances that I experienced were; deliverance from “works”, deliverance from “busy and doing”; deliverance from false humility, deliverance from religious spirits and pretense, deliverance from false mindsets and unbelief. Can you testify to what God has delivered you from?

Protection- We attest to His divine protection, accidents were averted, the plots of the enemy were exposed and foiled in advance. The Lord then set a shield of protection and permanently shut dangerous doors permanently even when I fought to reopen. But then He open new safer doors and opened by eyes to see where He is guiding me to.

Restoration- He brought inner healing of past wounds and provided an ongoing antidote of His love. We came to know of the Father’s pure unadulterated love. The Lord restored by VOICE for worship; and anointed me with the OIL OF JOY and DANCE! Then He began restitution with latter and former rains. He restitution has been perpetual.

I now know Him as THE LORD OF REPLACEMENT & RESTITUTION.

Community- He brought a new community of fellowship. In it we are free to be ourselves as we share in joy of our identities and destinies the Lord has for each of us. It continues to be a community that focuses on unity and support for one another and fosters each other’s growth and purpose of their destinies. In this community, I finally found my “tribe”.

Have we seen His wondrous works this year? Yes! Have you see the wonders of His Love? Yes! Oh, give thanks unto the Lord, for His mercies endures forever. OH, COME LET US ADORE HIM
