GOD CONTROLS SATAN

Often when things do not go our way the first person we have been programmed to blame is satan. These apply mostly to daily activities such as missing bus, misplacing your car keys, leaving the house late, an unexpected detour on your way to work or the garbage truck in front you are stopping at every house on a one lane street. We often equate delays with satan, but no so, no more. Stop crediting satan, GOD IS STILL IN CONTROL. CREDIT GOD.

Job 41:1-4 Can you pull in Leviathan with a fishhook or tie down its tongue with a rope? Can you put a cord through its nose or pierce its jaw with a hook? Will it keep begging you for mercy? Will it speak to you with gentle words? Will it make an agreement with you for you to take it as your slave for life?

These Scriptures are God Himself describing Himself and His power to Job. Can you see God holding satan with a fishing rode and satan begging for mercy? As I read these Scriptures I thought, maybe this is what Jesus did at Hid death and resurrection. May be this is the explanation “And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross. Colossian 2:15! Jesus is in Control.

Have you ever left your house late, just to hear on the news that there was a bad accident that occurred on the same road you would have used right around the time you were looking for the misplaced keys in your house?
God is still in control and He still controls the universe, the skies, the atmospheres and the seas. All things were created by Jesus and for Jesus! Consider these; that mishap may not be necessarily satan, but rather God’s divine protection and preservation for the perfect timing!

On the other hand, God may want you to start exercising the authority He gave you in Christ Jesus. The demands action, we must declare the opposite. So instead of constantly crediting satan for every negative experience, declare God’s promise concerning the area. Speak life! Prophesy the Word of God to your situation. Ask the Holy Spirit, He is always there to assist us. Yes, the Holy Spirit will locate the car keys by retracing your steps to where you placed them.

You empower whom you focus on. Satan loves when he is credited. Whenever it is done or spoken, it authorizes him to go into action. There are things we may have granted satan permission to act on! So, if you say your car will break soon, yes it will break down! Watch your words!

If all that someone keeps seeing are demons, something is wrong! Question their source, especially if the person(s) calls that a spiritual gift. I almost did once. I was so close to asking the person “do you ever see God’s Angels?” Let us pray for increased discernment to ascertain true spiritual gifts from divination and sorcery in the present Church (amongst believers)

If you have time this week, read the Bible, Job chapter 36 to chapter 42. In Chapters 36 and 37; you see the character and attributes of God. Elihu, Job’s friend describes them. In Job Chapter 38 to Chapter 41, God Himself tells us His great power and how He exercises that power. It makes more sense that Psalms is written right after Job! In Job 42 , you will see the Lord’s see salvation, healing, deliverance, restoration and restitution ! This was how Jesus operated too! Guys God is greater! Oh how I love the Bible! I’m too excited about this I am dancing right now ! Please take time to read these chapters.

Let’s credit God this week. Jesus is King of the earth and all heavens. God is still in control!

PERMEATING GLORY

Praise his glorious name forever! Let the whole earth be filled with his glory. Amen and amen! Psalm 72:19

A week ago while in prayer petitioning the nations to the Lord, I heard the words “permeating glory”. As I pressed further in prayer, I saw a ripple effect; the Glory of the Lord was moving like superficial oceanic waves into the nations. After prayer I meditated on the words “permeating glory” and discovered the following

• God’s glory is in us in through the Holy Spirit. God’s glory is also His presence. Since the Holy Spirit is always in us, the God’s glory is also always in us. 1 Peter 4:14

• God’s glory changes our environment. Nothing remains the same after an encounter with God’s glory. That means with the Holy Spirit in us, we have the ability to change the environments and situations around us.

• God’s glory enlightens- Where the glory of the Lord permeates, darkness cannot stand. The glory radiates with such debilitating power to darkness. I’m reminded on Moses upon his return from being with the Lord. His face shown so brightly that the Israelites asked him to cover his face before talking to them

• Each of us can have the fullness on God’s glory. We can enhance God’s glory in us by spending time and staying connected with the Giver of this Glory, God through the Holy Spirit. It is through this relationship that we are matured also from glory to glory

What I liked the most about this permeating glory is that it generated revivals. First it starts with our personal revivals. The glory permeates us to expose what needs to be addressed, healed, delivered or uprooted. Then as this permeating glory rises up within us, nations and environments are impacted. People get saved, delivered, healed, restored and set free! From our homes or churches we can release this glory in our neighborhoods, to hospitals, to maternity rooms, to prisons, to the highways and skylines; to nations, Halleluyah!

Imagine that! This is the glory we carry in and with us! So this week ask the Lord to release the permeating glory within you to change environments and situations around you. Hey how about we become the epi-center of this rippling permeating glory! Blog back please

COVER ALL AREAS

So it was, from that time on, that half of my servants worked at construction, while the other half held the spears, the shields, the bows, and wore armor; and the leaders were behind all the house of Judah. Those who built on the wall, and those who carried burdens, loaded themselves so that with one hand they worked at construction, and with the other held a weapon. Every one of the builders had his sword girded at his side as he built. And the one who sounded the trumpet was beside me. Nehemiah 4:16-18

It is easy to be carried away or be overly involved in one aspect of life and forget the other parts. This is common when things are going well and there is no hint that anything could go wrong elsewhere. I recently learned that satan will target the least expected areas in life. The forgotten parts, the thing you are assured to be intact; that’s the place he will target. You may have heard of this phrase already;” that’s the last person I thought would do that “or I could not have imagined that it happened in that city or that office”

Destiny is all inclusive. While pursuing our goals, we must ensure to cover all areas with prayer and secure all entry points and weak areas by the help of the Holy Spirit. In Nehemiah 4, we see the plan that Nehemiah had, “we will build the wall, with one hand and the other is with a weapon. Nehemiah was very strategic in the execution of this vision, he placed people in entry areas (gates) and on the 4 corners of the wall. See Nehemiah chapter 3.

The weapons of our warfare are mighty in power. Our enemies though are not fellow human beings. Prayer, meditation on Scriptures, praise and worship and most important asking God to alert you and guide you are some of the weapons we can use. In prayer cover your family, job, children, school, neighborhood, business associates, house, your coworkers and everything connected to you. Watch out for repeated patterns as well; similar negative things that seem to surface and disappear from time to time or during some months of the year.

If you read further in Nehemiah, he encourages the people to build the wall geared for battle for the sake of their families, daughters and sons. Meaning destiny is for posterity. It involves all that pertains us.

The other added weapons are the authority we have Christ Jesus, The name of Jesus, the Blood of Jesus, the power, fire and glory of the Holy Spirit, Angels. This week, pursue your goals but cover all areas with prayer. Consider reaching out to trusted fellow believers or church family to pray for you also. Destiny is all inclusive and you have the upper hand!

p/s- There are many lessons in all chapters of Nehemiah. Consider reading all of them this week. Nehemiah is a short Book in the Bible.
