DESTINY DETOURS

I wish we were guaranteed that the road paved for our destiny was a -6-laner high speed, straight forward … smile it aint! Interestingly, this road may have some pot holes, speed bumps, speed limits and even detours. My encouragement to you this this week is to embrace the detours; if you are walking the God assigned destiny, the detours will still lead to your destiny!

Matthew 2:19-23 is a perfect example –So Joseph got up, took the child (Jesus) and his mother and went to the land of Israel. But when he heard that Achelous was reigning in Judea in place of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there. Having been warned in a dream, Joseph withdrew to the district of Galilee, and he went and lived in a town called Nazareth. So was fulfilled what was said through the prophets, that Jesus would be called a Nazarene

Like with Jesus above, destiny was that He was to be called a Nazarene, so although Joseph set for Judea, his trigger resulted in God’s warning to detour to Nazareth in order for the prophesies to be fulfilled that Jesus would come from Narezeth.

Is God directly you to detour? Do you hear that small voice warning you not to proceed yet, to hold off yet, to change the course yet, put your brakes on, and follow an alternative route instead? You may call that small voice ‘something”, others call it ‘”instinct” I call Him the Holy Spirit.

From experience, God assigned detours are normally for your protection, to teach you something or to mature you in a certain area. This week, reflect and reevaluate your detours. Are you in one now, embrace it? Have you just be been redirected, ask God to show you why and what you need to gain from it. And also celebrate these; destiny speed bumps, speed limits, and detours are all working for your good (Romans 8:28). That the purposes of God in you and God’s prophesies (word) concerning you aka DESTINY are fulfilled!

Cheer up, it’s all good!

GOD IS TIMELESS. SO ASK FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASES

Some of you may relate. I tend to do most of my reflection and meditation while driving. So I was pondering on God’s promises that had been spoken over my life and concluded that I would commit them to prayer the next morning and start declaring them for the season.

Right there the Holy Spirit said, but God is timeless! And I shook my head nodding NO- why wait for tomorrow to declare the promises. Start now, God is timeless! And off I went. I started by thanking God for His omnipresence. Then the Holy Spirit reminded me that He is the Alpha and Omega. And that God hears our prayers immediately the first time we pray.

•Isaiah 65:24-Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear.
•Psalm 34:17- The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; He delivers them from all their troubles.
•Deuteronomy 4:7-For what great nation is there that has a god so near to it as is the LORD our God whenever we call on Him?

Then I proceeded with; today is the day of salvation, right now this hour this evening, God can still release my miracles. God is timeless and limitless. Off I went, praying the immediate releases. Lord release now! Let your Angels disperse them now. Let them connect with me now, this evening!

I don’t know about you, it could be that the blessings, miracles, promises and breakthroughs have already been released on earth, already here somewhere waiting for us to call them in.

This week, do not hesitate to ask God for immediate releases. For he says, “In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation 2 Corinthians 2:6. Today is the day of salvation, now is the hour of deliverance. Today is the day of healing, now is the hour of restoration and restitution. Every true prophesy is a promise from God. Reflect on past prophesies, pray them in. God is timeless, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of our salvation and miracles.

WORSHIP and THE VALLEY OF BLESSINGS

Have you ever experienced duuh moments in prayer. Where you drag yourself to your prayer room or simply don’t feel like praying. OR have you ever been hit so hard by an adversary that you don’t know how to pray or where to begin in prayer. In both experiences, I encourage you to worship the Lord. Make your prayer the prayer of worship.

You may feel like you have prayed all the prayers concerning the issue, fasted and stood on the promises, but while the answer or breakthrough is on its way to manifest, persevere and approach God in worship. Make worship your most valuable asset to present Jesus. Make worship your alabaster oil.
From personal experience, the prayer of worship helps me connect with God much faster. How would you know that, I describe this as an inner knowing, in such moment’s prayers flow effortless with the help of the Holy Spirit.

In worship we go without an agenda, plan or prayer list. It is simply resting in worship of God. How does a prayer of worship look like?
•Lord I worship you because you are my salvation in this situation
•I acknowledge you surpassing power to break this issue and birth forth my breakthrough
•I embrace your goodness and mercies this day
•I acknowledged your power to deliver and to set me free
•I thank you because you have already seen the end when this issue began, I bless you my Alpha and Omega, my all in all
•I worship you, all knowing, all present God, because you are with me right now, I acknowledge your presence and ability in this
•I bless you for your love for me
•I honor you my I AM because you are the solution to this right now
•Oh I thank you Lord, for your mercies are not only new for me today in this situation but they endure forever

This week, approach God in worship, end your prayer in worship and thanksgiving. God responds mightily to all prayers. But He seems to respond valiantly to the prayer of worship and thanksgiving. 2 Chronicles 20:21-25 has become a constant reminder lately. Worship intimidates the enemy. Worship brings blessings. As we worship in prayer, may we gather our answers from the valley of blessings.

FIRST STEPS

Most parents savor this moment; the very first time their child takes the first step walk. In fact, some parents are saddened when this occurs in their absence. Other parents even video tape and save this occasion for future reference. And aww, you should see the joyous expressions of the parents when this happens. Priceless!

I believe God reacts in the same way when we take the first step towards our destinies and the plans He has for us. Whether it’s child or a calf, instinctly, they sense they should walk after being born. You see, this current life requires faith and obedience. God rarely shows us the end from the beginning, although that is His Name, but God sees the end from the beginning (Isaiah 46:10). We see this with Moses and with Abraham. In addition to walking by faith, God made provision for them as they kept on walking.

God has already gifted you with what you need in life. You do not need to see the clear picture or perfect what God has given you to act. My encouragement to you this week is to use what you have and take the first step. As you step out, God will bring additional provision. He will protect and preserve everything that pertains you (Psalm 84:10-12, Psalm 85:10-13). You don’t have to get it perfect to step out. Apply that mustard seed faith, move and activate what is in you.

Matthew 17:20-He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

Take the first step
