Quick to rescue

Let’s Blog, Let’s Talk
(JUNE 2016 BLOGS. WEEK 4)

QUICK TO RESCUE-Not all bad things, adversities and temptations are from satan. At times God allows the bad things or uses the adversities to test us, mature us and most important to ensure His Will is accomplished in our lives. So it is crucial to be very discerning of what God is doing with you or someone else in adversity before rushing to “fix” the problem.
Do not be quick to rescue, do not be a hindrance to what God wants to do with you or with the person. Consider Jesus Christ while being approached by squad that came to arrest Him. Peter was quick to use the sword to cut off the ear of the soldier. Jesus in response says to Peter ‘Put your sword away, shall I not drink the cup which My Father has given Me? (John 18:11) The Cross was the main reason Jesus came to earth! That we may be reconciled with God; yet the flesh (Peter) reacted in attempt to divert God’s ultimate will.
Also, God chastens those He loves. Frequently we are pruned in order to produce more (Hebrews 12:6, Proverbs 3;12, Revelation 3;19, John 15;2). God does all these for our good and most important for a greater purpose. So whereas showing mercy is a mandate, at times it is very important to seek God for guidance on WHEN TO RESCUE, WHOM TO RESCUE, HOW TO SECURE & NOT TO RESCUE. It is crucial that seek the Holy Spirit in this to avoid hurt, abuse and exploitation of your resources. Our resources and all we have are not ours, they belong to God. We must be good stewards of what God has given us. Seeking God’s guidance will also help you to “avoid inviting trouble”. My Mom calls this “self- acquired problems”. God did not tell you to help the person, you poured everything to them, they betrayed, used you or exploited you”. In this case don’t go back to God crying, repent instead. God will still be merciful, He will forgive you and help you with a way of escape 1Corinthians 10:13; but still be ready to face the consequences of your decision to rescue.

PRAYER-Lord forgive us for wasting your resources. We repent of not seeking your face first on whom and how we needed to help. Lord open our eyes now to see whom we should rescue and whom we should let go. Lord give us the courage to say no to people and things You have not approved. Lord deliver us from evil and unreasonable people and things. Lord we submit all that belongs to us to You; help us discern channel our resources according to Your will and in the things that are pleasing to You. In the Name of Jesus. Amen! Be encouraged, God is Faithful and Dependable.

Coming to a place of rest while still alive

Let’s Blog, Let’s Talk
(JUNE 2016 BLOGS. WEEK 3)

COMING TO A PLACE OF REST WHILE STILL ALIVE- This week I will share a personal testimony in thanksgiving and honor to God who has brought me to this place. I call it a place of rest. I have discovered that I can and we can still come to this place of rest in Christ Jesus

First this rest comes through redemption and being accepted as God’s children and partakers of Christ in His place of rest. Based on ongoing experience with the Holy Spirit, the place of rest is fully steered and brought about by the wonderful Person of the Holy Spirit (Can’t help but cry writing this). He started by endowing me with the Spirit of Joy. I describe it as an unexplained “joyous high” where my mind emotions and body had less tolerance for offenses. My mind could be very upset, but yet my heart would be very still and joyous and within a short period, the offense would lift off completely and I would be fully joyful again.

Next, rest came through assurance in His promises. I am an avid reader of the Bible but I recall a day (in November 2015) when the verse Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7, came alive, literally, from that moment it is a though my mind fights and refuses to entertain anxiety. When the thoughts of what if and what about and how and how much and when start, literally my mind switches to the scripture, at times it is as though the Holy Spirit is telling me to “knock it off” and remind me that “what is faith then? You pray Pauline don’t you? Yes, Holy Spirit, I answer.

Rest because of the peace of the Holy Spirit-I’ve come to experience this rest by receiving the gift of Peace. The Peace a that Christ left with us, My peace I give you. The Spirit of Peace. I really cannot describe it other than being in a place of stillness. So still you can touch the thin transparent stillness of this peace. I really cannot describe it but it is a peace that surpasses human understanding. Sure is.

I have come to rest in embracing God as my all in all. I call Him Papa, I sit on His lap and enjoy His embrace and warmth. He is my affirmation, He validates me, He is my firm foundation, I am edified and assured by Him. He is my supporter and cheerleader, my fortress in whom I am firmly grounded. In His rest I stand unshakable. This rest a place of experiencing His fullness, His continuous presence, His fellowship, AN EXPERIENCE OF THE STILLNESS OF GOD; this is His rest. THIS REST IS THE KINGDOM OF GOD; RIGHTEOUSNESS, PEACE & JOY IN THE HOLY SPIRIT.

PRAYER. Lord I cast all anxiety, all fear, I embrace my position as your child. I embrace your promise to prosper in all things, I embrace the sound mind, power, I embrace love and contentment since You supply all my needs, by your stripes, I am healed. I come to your rest. I receive rest in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Now, experience rest on earth while still alive. I am a living testimony. Be encouraged, God is Faithful and Dependable.

GOD DOES MORE WHEN WE ARE FLEXIBLE

GOD DOES MORE WHEN WE ARE FLEXIBLE- A few weeks ago I was on the treadmill afterhours thinking of the forecasted busy schedule that I was ahead of me in the first half of the year. I realized that in order to be effective and accomplish all goals successfully, I needed to adjust some things including routines. It was at that moment that a Thought came and said, “you can do more if you are flexible”. Then the next Thought said “God does more with you when you are flexible”. Praise God for the Holy Spirit. God talks to each of us uniquely. One of the ways the Holy Spirit speaks to me is through my thought process. God speaks at all times; on this day He spoke to me while on the treadmill; the topic for this blog was birthed!
So the whole evening I reflected on “Flexibility” in by relationship with God. Then I was reminded of Abraham and Noah, who were given the vision of what God wanted, and they remained flexible and just followed what God directed them to do. Both Abraham and Noah reaped more and to date we are enjoying their fruits of flexibility. Through Jesus Christ we are now partakers of the Abrahamic inheritance. By sign of the rainbow which was given to Noah, God affirms every time we see the rainbow that He will no longer wipe out the earth with heavy floods; the fruits of flexibility.

Flexibility is an attitude of total surrender, when we submit to God as our potter, to conform and shape us into what He wants us to be. Once conformable, God in turn uses various ways including tests, adversity, chastening and blessings to mold us into His image. So do not be quick to want to cop-out of an adversity or test because it could be that God is using that situation to bold and shape you. Instead, remain open and flexible. Let His hands work on you, that you may be shaped and molded to a usable vessel.

I realized that flexibility and obedience are key to increase in the knowledge and fullness of God. I also think flexibility is a test; where God commands that e change our routines, can ne change right away and follow His direction, or will we remain stuck in our ways.

God is the potter and we are the clay, Isaiah 64.8. Recall, clay is flexible. In fact, its consistency has some viscosity that makes in pliable, conformable and shapeable to whatever thing the Potter wants. The final outcome is normally something beautiful; often a vessel to contain something or a decorative décor. This is our God. Repent, renounce and let go of the rigidity. Embrace the freedom in Christ. Our walk as Christians is no longer by works, or our own. Our walk rather is by faith, and by the Holy Spirit. This week purpose to be flexible and expect to receive more from God. Be encouraged, God is Faithful and Dependable.

God will never compromise His Love for you

Let’s Blog, Let’s Talk
(JUNE 2016 BLOGS. WEEK 1)

GOD WILL NEVER COMPROMISE YOU- The Price that was paid for this love is so expensive that it cannot be bought. That is why Salvation is now free to those who desire for it. Likewise, the cost of our liberation led to the distribution of Free Gifts as seen fit by the Distributor Himself, Christ through the Holy Spirit. That though varied, collectively each gift should be utilized accordingly for the building up of His Church.

So purpose to guard your gifts and calling from pollution, contamination or compromise being accountable to the Love Christ paid costly for us

Purpose to preserve and protect the temple of God; your body this month. Some may argue that this is America and it’s a different culture. Or times have changed. But let’s be reminded that Jesus Christ never changes. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. God is Omnipresent. He has no geographical barriers, so is the Holy Spirit. 1 Thessalonians 4: 4-Each of you should know how to possess our own vessels in sanctification and honor

If single, persevere in waiting, do not give in to short-term gratification this week. The Lord sees all, the intents of everyone’s heart and thoughts, also the end from the beginning. Your God appointed wife or husband is on the way.

Stay away from intimacy with any married woman or man. Marriage is ordained by God. On the last day, the saints will judge everyone else, BUT ALDUTERERS & FORNICATORS GOD HIMSELF WILL JUDGE (Hebrews 13:4, 1 Corinthians 6 :9)

Resist peer pressure by the Power of the Holy Spirit. Do not go with flow, fad or culture. Worse yet resist strongly “1) everybody is doing it 2) This is America! On the judgement day, each of you will be judged individually. We reap, what we sow, more than we sowed and later than we sowed, Dr. Charles Stanley. This principle applies whether we sow Good or Bad

Do not compromise this this valentine’s month or any other day. To those Christ has saved, He also gave Power to become sons and daughters of God. YOU HAVE POWER, the Holy Spirit. Walk in the Spirit and you will not fulfil the desires of the flesh (Galatians 5:16), Submit to God (Love), resist the devil and He will flee from you. DRAW NEAR TO GOD & HE WILL DRAW NEAR TO YOU (James 4:7-8)

PRAYER-RECEIVE & EMBRANCE GOD’S LOVE THIS WEEK. Say this out loud, as loud as you can. “God I love you, I receive your love. Now put your hand on your heart/chest and Repeat this 7 times, “God I know you love me. Now say the following countless times “God loves me, God loves me, God Loves me, God loves me, God, loves me, God loves me, God loves me, God loves me, God loves me, God loves me, God loves me, God loves me, no more compromise. Be encouraged, God is Faithful and Dependable.
