Flip It

Let’s Blog, Let’s Talk
(MARCH 2016 BLOGS. WEEK 4)
FLIP IT-When faced with adversities, sudden emergencies, uncertainties of life, sudden bad news, anxiety or fear. I am learning that the first reaction is to turn the presenting negative situation to positive by declaring the Word of God and taking positive productive steps on the situation; FLIP IT! Doing this as Believer, is in itself a type of spiritual warfare that dictates our thoughts, emotions, reactions and actions!
FLIP IT by TURNING TO PRAYER- Isaiah 38:1-5, 2 Kings 20:1-6-When King Hezekiah was told that he was going to die from an illness, his first reaction was a turn towards the wall and prayer. He FLIPPED the bad news by refusing to accept it and sort God for mercy in prayer. God healed King Hezekiah and extended 15 more years of good health and life to him. Prior to this, King Hezekiah had been threatened by another nation that blasphemed God and wanted to wage war with the King. This time King Hezekiah received the letter, read it and went and spread the letter before the Lord in prayer. Because of his prayer, the Lord sent His Own Angel to fight the Assyrians. The Lord also restored Hezekiah’s kingdom. 2 Kings 19. Here again Hezekiah FLIPPED IT!
FLIP IT by ENCOURAGING YOURSELF IN THE LORD. Why so down cast oh my soul put your hope in God! This may have been the song David was singing after the attack at Ziklag. Though weary, tied and emotionally drained; David strengthened himself in the Lord; HE FLIPPED IT. 1 Samuel 30. You may have been in a long warfare, waiting, endurance or life draining situation. Funga ukanda (Swahili for fasten your belt), guard up your loins, shake off the dust, gear up, stand up. Greater is in you that he that it in the world.
FLIP IT by CONFESSING THE GOD’S PROMISES AND WORD concerning the situation. The Word of God is Life and is also Alive John 1;1. God’s Word ALWAYS contradicts every negative issue. Where cannot, the Word brings CAN, where sickness is, the Word brings HEALING, where bondage is, the Word brings DELIVERANCE, where sin is, the Word bring forgiveness through the Blood of Jesus and through mercy and grace. Where impossibilities deem, the Word brings ALL POSSIBILITIES.

FLIP IT by TRUSTING IN THE LORD- Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make straight yet paths. Proverbs 3:5-6. Flip by turning your trust from man, friend, resources, mentor, pastor to GOD. Flip my trusting the Creator of all and not His creation. Trust through persistent faith even if that faith is that of a mustard seed, it can still move the mountains; the situations. Flip it by leaning on His everlasting arms.

FLIP IT by WAITING UPON THE LORD- They that wait upon the Lord, shall renew their strength, Isaiah 40:31. We wait in thanksgiving, worship and praise. We wait while still pushing and pursuing, focused on our Delivered. We wait as we stay consistent in whatever assignment or calling He has assigned us, avoiding any distractions. We wait in the Spirit and not by our flesh.

FLIP IT by STANDING- And after you have done all then STAND-Ephesians 6:13-14 knowing that you have the full armor of the Highest God. Flip it by standing on the Unshakable Rock who is Greater in you than the situation you are facing. Flip it knowing the Right Hand of the Lord is doing valiant on your behalf.

So this week, FLIP IT in prayer, flip it by encouraging yourself, flip it as we speak the Words of Life, His Words, Speak His promises, when we confess, salvation comes. Flip it as WE PUT ALL OUR TRUST IN THE LORD. Flip it as we wait in thanksgiving and praise. Finally Flip it by standing, staying tied and hooked on Christ the Solid Rock. Not by might nor by power BUT BY MY SPIRIT says the Lord of hosts, Zechariah 4:6. Be encouraged, God is Faithful and Dependable.

Our homes are healed

Let’s Blog, Let’s Talk
(MARCH 2016 BLOGS. WEEK 3)

OUR HOMES ARE HEALED -Two Sundays ago after church, while overtaken by His presence, I heard Him say very clearly “your house is healed”. As I pondered into the declaration, God showed me that the healing was from negative or contrary words that had been spoken in our homes.
Spoken words are very powerful; even unspoken words (thoughts) can impact someone. By God’s Grace, we are living in houses we did not build and even if we built them, we may not have owned the land the houses are built on. (Deuteronomy 6:10-12). We may have spoken these negative words ourselves, OR people who lived in our houses, homes or lands may have spoken something contrary to the purposes of God.
So this week, let us declare our homes and households healed. This includes any dwelling that you call home. Let’s start by repenting of any negative words we have spoken in our homes, to our children or spouses, siblings, relatives and friends. Let’s cleanse our homes from words that were spoken in our absence before we got into the homes. Let’s rid our homes of any negative generational or geographical negative words that were spoken before we got here. Most arguments occur in our cars, let’s cleanse our vehicles of very negative word. At the Cross Jesus cancelled every curse.
PRAYER-Lord I repent of every careless word that I have spoken over my life, in this house, over my children, husband and wife. I ask for your forgiveness. I release the Blood on Jesus in each room in this house, in my car, in my business building and in the workplace. I revoke any covenant that I established by those words in the name of Jesus. By confession, salvation comes (Romans 10:10). So I declared my house healed, I release blessings, favor…. declare every positive thing according to God’s Word that you want for your house and household
Remember words are prophetic, what we say is bound to happen. Watch what you say, Christ Himself warned that we will be judged for every empty(careless) word we speak. (Matthew 12:36). Since words are prophetic and God desires that ALL prophesy, speak God’s Word into your life, your home, over your children, concerning your job. Speak the Word and watch the turn around. OUR HOMES ARE HEALED! Be encouraged, God is Faithful and Dependable.

Maximizing our assignments in the stages of life

Let’s Blog, Let’s Talk
(MARCH 2016 BLOGS. WEEK 2)

MAXIMIZING OUR ASSIGNMENTS IN THE STAGES OF LIFE-I experienced a radical paradigm shift on Friday Feb 4th, 2016 after watching a post that was forwarded to me. In this video, two single ladies encouraged other singles in their walk and life in Christ. The paradigm shift came when these sisters shared the importance of focusing on your assignment while still single. Whereas the post was geared towards singles, it dawned on me that what they shared applies to all areas of life. I gathered, that:
If single, God has specific assignments for you to accomplish in your singlehood. Are you focusing and committed to this assignment or distracted? What if God told you that you have only 9 months to go as a single person, would you have completed your assignment (s) by the end of the 9 months?
If already married, are you focused in your assignment as a married man, woman or couple or are you distracted. Do you have a vision or mission for your marriage? Joshua had one; as for me and my house we will serve the Lord. Joshua 24:15
If in a career, college or ministry, are you focused on your assignments while here or are you distracted.
In my journey with God so far, I have learned that God teaches, chastens and promotes in stages. I highlight this in the new book Called to Ministry, Now What! It behooves one to stay in tune with what God is doing with us at any stage, lest He allows you to repeat the issue over and over till you learn the lesson. By the way, It is God who determines when you graduate to the next level NOT you.
With all these in mind, on Feb 5th, 2016, I recommitted my life to God again (I’m repeating again, twice, for the second time, because nowadays under conviction, I find myself recommitting and submitting to God and the Holy Spirit over and over. I’ve stopped reasoning and arguing with God)
I repented of having wasted time and resources, and allowed distractions to blind me from my assignments in this stage of my life. I realized the need to refocus on the assignments God has given me in ministry, career, family. Then I submitted. I asked God to refuel me and asked the Holy Spirit to recharge me I prayed earnestly, God help me see and know what assignments I need to complete now. Redefine them to me Lord and before each stage is over; help me accomplish each assignment successfully, with a “well done, bravo! good and faithful servant” Matthew 25:21-23. I will put you in charge of many things come any share your Master’s happiness. Promotion only comes after successful completion of our assignments.
PRAYER-Dear Lord, please help us RECOGNIZE & COMPLETE our assignments in every stage of our lives. Amen. Our prayer for the week. Be encouraged, God is Faithful and Dependable.

You are complete in Christ

Let’s Blog, Let’s Talk
(MARCH 2016 BLOGS. WEEK 1)

YOU ARE COMPLETE IN CHRIST-Be encouraged this week because Jesus has made you complete. You are whole the way you are; so do not let anyone or any situation convince you otherwise. You are complete because

  • It was finished-At the Cross, Christ declared that it was finished. Any set back, any hindrance, any low self-esteem any inferiority, sin, sickness, curses, death were all addressed and conquered at the cross. The Cross has made you flawless. You are complete because IT WAS & IT REMAINS FINISHED!
  • You lack no good thing -Psalm 34:10-The young lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing. Psalm 84:11. The Lord bestows favor and honor to those who walk uprightly; He withholds no good thing from them. He knows our needs even before we ask, He grants us the desires of our hearts. God is timeless, delays are not in His vocabulary, He can do 1000 years in one day, and in one day extend 1000 years, He is the only one Who sees the end from the beginning. We are complete because GOD WITHOLDS NOT GOOD THING!
  • When you ask, seek or Knock-God responds. He is the lord who hears and responds to our prayers, calls and cries. When we call on Him, He responds. Matthew 7:7. When anxious, He promises assurance to provide, in fear, He promises to protect, in weakness, His grace remains sufficient for us to strengthen and change the order of events. We are complete because our ULTIMATE FATHER HEARS US & because HIS PROMISES ARE SURE
  • In Him you Live and Move and have your being- not in the fellow man, not in things not in riches, achievements and accolades. But because the Spirit that gives life lives and works with us, we are complete by the Holy Spirit, the breath of God, whom we breath and filled with daily, to life, move and co-exist in God. Through Him the Holy Spirit, we are empowered, counselled, activated, anointed, imparted, convicted and directed. We are complete, BECAUSE IN HIM WE LIVE, MOVE & HAVE OUR BEING
  • GOD KNEW YOU BEFORE you were born. -Before you became an embryo, God already knew and elected you as His own. Before you became saved, God knew you would, He selected you. As you grew, He gave you specific personalities, attributes, physiques, gives and talents THAT CAN ONLY BE EXPRESSED & EXERCISED BEST BY YOU; this make you complete in Him!
  • Most important, YOU ARE CREATED IN GOD’S OWN IMAGE- What more would be more important than this. This alone makes you complete, as the image of God, saved and sanctified, set apart as a co-heir of with Christ, seated by the right hand of God to reign with Christ. You are endowed the covenant and the inheritance; the power and authority to reign heaven and earth from HERE ON EARTH, then eventually reign together with Him eternally.

As we venture into this month, the 3rd month of the year, KEEP YOUR HEAD UP, walk in the completeness and the authority of Whose and Whom YOU ARE. Denounce and reject any contrary name, label you had been given or even assigned yourself. WALK IN WHOLENESS HENCEFORTH, YOU ARE COMPLETE IN CHRIST. Be encouraged, God is Faithful and Dependable.
